Combining a powerful 1200W fibre laser welder with an intelligent CNC cutting platform, it enables professional workshops to weld, cut, clean and engrave metal with precision while moving seamlessly between handheld fabrication and automated CNC production.

The CNC cutting capabilities vary according to material, gas, nozzle and processing conditions. Current supported capabilities include dross-free cutting up to 10mm carbon steel/galvanised sheet, 5mm stainless steel, 4mm aluminium and 3mm brass.

The CNC platform transforms MetalFab from a handheld laser welder into a comprehensive metal fabrication system. Digital designs can be converted into accurately cut components before moving directly into welding and finishing, reducing reliance on separate cutting and welding equipment.
With over 100 pre-optimised parameters for more than 30 materials, together with features including automatic lead-in lines and automatic path optimisation, the system is designed to simplify CNC metal cutting while delivering consistent, repeatable results.

A system of this capability needs to be configured correctly for the materials, thicknesses and fabrication processes you'll be using. This package includes free 1-to-1 commissioning, with further training and ongoing technical support available.
Our team can also advise on shielding and cutting gases, electrical requirements, workshop setup, consumables and the right MetalFab configuration for your production requirements.
Important Safety & Installation Requirements:
The MetalFab 1200W is a Class 4 laser system and requires appropriate laser safety controls, PPE and operating procedures. Suitable process gases are also required according to the welding or cutting application.
The 1200W welder requires a 200–240V power supply, with a full-load current of 21A and rated power of 4,200W. The CNC cutter accepts 100–240V. Electrical installation should be checked by a qualified electrician, and all applicable electrical, laser safety and workplace requirements must be observed.
